The 66th Edition of The Marathon - Presented By the Michigan Army National Guard - was a great one! The field was very competitive, featuring many of the best marathon canoe racers from around the United States, Canada & England. 77 Teams started THE Marathon in 2013, including: 5 Women's Teams; 10 Mixed; 11 Masters (40+); 11 Seniors (50+) & 8 Rookie (1st AuSable Marathon). 62 teams finished the race as 15 teams dropped or were disqualified.
Michigan's Andy Triebold & Quebec's Steve Lajoie are now the 6-time reigning Champs of the AuSable River Canoe Marathon, crossing the Oscoda Finish Line in 14:20:24 (14 hours, 20 minutes, 24 seconds). "Congratulations & Well Done!" to all of the paddlers who competed in this year's event.
