Brothers Chuck and Les Harrison have watched the passing racers of the AuSable Canoe Marathon for many years from the banks of the mainstream in Luzerne, Michigan On race day of 1993 a song was composed by Chuck, and was performed by him and his brother who plays lead guitar. The AuSable River International Canoe Marathon Committee believes their work captures the sentiment of Marathon fans everywhere and has proclaimed it to be the "Official AuSable Canoe Marathon Theme Song" The Harrison brothers performed the song live to the thousands of fans at the opening ceremony of the 1998 AuSable Canoe Marathon. The AuSable River International Canoe Marathon Committee wishes to thank Chuck and Les Harrison for their contribution and urge the Marathon's many fans to stop in Luzerne when in the area "It's God's Country".
